I've been building and shipping things on the internet for as long as I can remember. From phone themes to websites.
Along the way, I've learned a few things about how to use marketing and technology to create experiences that customers love. For over a decade, this has become my life, career and ultimate passion.
I'm aiming to put myself at the intersection of marketing and engineering, using data to build market-relevant solutions that not only meet market demand but anticipate it—bridging customer insight, technical execution, and strategic growth.
I've studied Psychology since I was 16. I did my Bachelors in it, with an Honours in Marketing.
I began a Master's in Computer Science (AI), before discontinuing that to build real world projects.
→Why I Dropped OutMy expertise - and preference - lies in eCommerce / D2C; but I've worked across B2B, service, publishers and marketplaces. I enjoy projects that are large, dynamic, and require strategic planning with data and moving parts; with measurable commercial KPIs.
The projects I've enjoyed the most are building Greystar's CX architecture, building the organic roadmap for - and ranking - TeamUSA during the 2024 Paris Olympics, and, ARHCustom's technical SEO overhaul that won gold for 'Best UK SEO Campaign' in 2022.
I've had many roles in marketing: researcher, technical copywriter, and strategist.
I started learning web dev during my first job after University. I fell into SEO, where I began to build tools for myself and others. From there, I leaned into programming.
I emigrated to the UK in 2019, after a 2-year break working in 5 different countries.
I've worked in UK, EU and US - where I was invited to rebuild the SEO department for a legendary agency. I've won awards for projects in these markets.
I grew up in Cape Town, South Africa. I've later realized this shaped my life and career in ways I couldn't imagine.
I love spending time outdoors, hiking, going to the beach, or, wild swimming in the mountains. I love a kuier and a braai.
